Reviews:
* Even though it's an aging vehicle, the INFINITI Q40 offers a lot of bang for the buck. With a comfortable interior, plentiful features and a powerful 3.7-liter V6 engine, there's a lot to like. Source: KBB.com
* Generous standard equipment; sharp handling; muscular engine for the price; user-friendly tech interface. Source: Edmunds
* The Q40's 3.7L V6 unleashes 328hp and features exclusive VVEL technology that continually tunes valve lift and timing for quicker response and broader torque curve, even while improving fuel economy and emissions. The high 7th gear allows lower-rpm cruising for greater fuel efficiency. Shift through all seven seamlessly in automatic mode, or switch into manual with Downshift Rev Matching and use the available solid-magnesium paddle shifters for a more hands-on connection. INFINITI's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system works to provide power when needed sending up to 50% of power to the front wheels. The unique collaboration of INFINITI designers and engineers created the Q40's massive 14-inch front rotors and sculpted 4-piston front calipers that grab faster and with more finite control than a sliding caliper design. Press the brake pedal and you'll feel their precise feedback and gain a greater sense of power and control. From the glow of the gauges and knobs, to the designed feel of every switch and button, the interior unifies elegant, functional design with handcrafted details. In addition, the 10-speaker INFINITI Studio on Wheels by Bose was designed to help music retain its richly-authentic sound. INFINITI engineers created the first manufacturer system that delivers the music's power from the front, with sound washing through the cabin from front to back, as in a live performance. The available INFINITI Hard Drive Navigation System with 7-inch color touch-screen display, Lane Guidance and 3-D building graphics will ensure you also know where you are at. This package includes NavTraffic with Real-Time Traffic information, NavWeather with Real-Time Weather and 3-day forecast, and Zagat Survey Restaurant Guide. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

I fell in love with Nissan after driving my 3.5SE Altima for 190,000 miles. After I got a quote for $1,000 of repairs, plus knowing I needed new tires and the expensive 200,000 mile tune up - I started looking for a new car. I was sold on Nissan and wouldn't settle for anything less than a V6. The new Altima was nice, fast, but the cloth seats were just cheesy looking. The Maxima was expensive but also nice. It's price tag pushed me to look at The Q40, Q50, Lexus I and E series, Audi A3, and BMW 325s. The Lexus are just comfortable slow cars. I was bored with it during the test drive. The BMW and Audi dealerships nickel and dime you to $40,000 but also felt small - I'm 6'1" and hit my head on the ceiling and door frame. The Q50 felt sluggish, and handled like a boat. The Q40 made me smile - I have the AWD version and it's a fun car to open up, hugs turns, stops on a dime, and really lets you feel in control of the automobile. You'll have to find a used one or look into the Q70 to get something like this again. PROS: FAST!!! AWD Handling and stability is wonderful. Very little body lean. Seats are comfortable. Sound system is great. Materials are durable. Lots of features come standard with Navigation package: sunroof, dual power heated seats, voice recognition, dual climate control, bluetooth. CONS: MPG is depressing. The Voice recognition does not control climate system. No memory seats standard. No folding rear seats. No power steering wheel. My biggest complaint - the center console storage space is lacking - no good places for the junk you end up keeping there! The Engine and ride noise are higher inside the cabin than the Lexus E and Infiniti Q50, but probably why they were sluggish and handled like a chevy at best.

Unlike many mid size, sport luxuary cars that i have owned or driven in the past, my recently purchased 2015 Q40, is nothibg but pure fun with feeling the quality and saftey with confidence that bring about while driving the Q40. I enjoy driving this car with its high powerfull respond and manouver capability which bring me nothing but pure joy driving it while feeling safe and in control. What gives me more pleasure is that designe, elegance and simplicity of this vehicle yet it maintain such a nice class with elegant interior. I just hope thag I do not get an moving citation. If I new this vehicle would have brought me back such a fun and excitment driving it with comfort, I would have purchased it much earlier. I know that i will enjoy havig to drive my new Q40 with all it offers including safety and quality and confidence in driving and look forward to upcoming new Q60. I know thag my next car is also going to be Infiniti.

First Infinity was amazing with no problems and sold with 198,000 miles running great. This 3.7 liter is another great car but I miss the manual shift. Fortune has it I have a 1999 Porsche Cabriolet manual that,s fun . However, very expensive to maintain properly. My Porsche mechanic owns a Japanese car. HeHe
